What can I expect from a session?

Sessions guide you to the root or causation of imbalance in your body. Inner dialogue based upon limiting beliefs are addressed, as well as assigned mental meaning and patterns that lead to self-sabotage. You will learn through various introspective modalities and processes as well as from principles of Intuitive Eating and the Integrative Method. Whatever brings you to My Nutrition you will leave knowing how to live in true wellness.

What is Intuitive Eating?

To eat intuitively is our natural state; it is the way we were born to eat. It is to eat when you are hungry and to stop when you are full, while naturally regulating to present conditions in the body.

It is not measuring portions, or counting calories or tracking macros. It is not about elimination, restriction, meal plans, discipline or willpower. It is not responding to outside cues to what or how much is to be eaten, in order to feel healthy and thin. It is not glorifying or demonizing foods or assigning morality to food.

Intuitive Eating is our bodies natural way to self-regulate; like recognizing hunger and gauging how much is needed in a given moment. As well as eating for satisfaction or sheer enjoyment of food. Intuitive eating contains four facets: unconditional permission to eat, eating for physical rather than emotional reasons, reliance on hunger and satiety cues, and body/food choice congruence.

What is an integrative method?

A holistic method which integrates mind, body and spirit; as true wellness cannot derive from the physical state alone. If you’re only working on one aspect of yourself, there will naturally be an imbalance within. Research has demonstrated how mental and emotional cues distinctly affect our immune system. Likewise, our connection to our spirit impacts our well-being. When in a state of pure wellness there is no separation between body, mind and spirit. All elements of the self are in harmonious balance and the person is living in a state of wholeness.
